Banking
Many students open a dollar savings account once in Israel to safekeep
their cash for gradual withdrawals. North American bank cards work at most
ATM machines in Yerushalayim. Personal checks take about two weeks to clear
in the bank. Travellers checks are a good alternative for carrying large
amounts of cash. We have a safe in the Yeshiva office for small valuables.
