Financial aid is available in the form
of long-term interest free loans and significant partial scholarships.
The Yeshiva understands the fact that many students need financial
help and we try to never turn students away as a result of financial need.
Those who are unable to pay in full are asked to contact Rabbi
Sylvester. The Jewish Agency has decided that a year of study in Israel is the
most effective way to help students connect to their Jewish heritage and
they are offering significant MASA scholarships. Please fill out the MASA
scholarship forms and return to us as soon as possible. (http://www.masaisrael.org/masa/english/).
They can be faxed to us at 011 972 2 9934241. Students over the age of thirty and those with Israeli citizenship
are not eligible for this scholarship.
ROOM AND BOARD FEES The room and board fees cover your
dormitory room as well as three meals a day.
Meals are not served during the free Shabbatot, Sukkot, Chanukah and
Pesach vacation, but home hospitality can be arranged in individual cases
There is a moadon on campus with communal kitchen and supplies for
students to use during vacation and all year long.
There is a coin-operated washing machine and dryer on the premises. HOSPITALIZATION AND MEDICAL INSURANCE Every student must have complete
hospitalization and medical coverage in Israel. If you are not fully covered at home for your stay in Israel,
you must join the medical plan offered by
Yeshiva.
Under the medical plan, students are covered for all medical
treatment (except for preexisting or chronic medical conditions), including doctors, hospitalization, medication, laboratory work
and emergency dental treatment of up to $250 during the year. The cost is $1 per day which can be paid upon arrival at
Yeshiva. Please note that medical insurance from
your home country is processed differently in Israel. Israeli hospitals require that foreign residents pay all
bills incurred during their hospital stay prior to their release from the
hospital. Upon release, a
receipt is issued which may then be submitted to your home insurance company
for reimbursement. Any student who has medical coverage
from his home country must sign a form absolving Yeshivat Torat Yosef -
Hamivtar from any responsibility for his medical
care during his stay at the Yeshiva and in the dormitory.
This statement of release must be signed and submitted at the time
dormitory space is reserved. TRANSCRIPTS Transcripts for credit at your home university can be requested at the end of the semester. Requests must be submitted on the “Transcript Request Form” available through either our New York or Israel office. The cost is $5 for one transcript, and $3 for each additional transcript ordered at the same time. All requests must be accompanied by full payment. We look forward to seeing you at Yeshivat Torat Yosef-
Hamivtar and hope your experience will be both pleasant
and rewarding. If we can be of
any assistance to you, feel free to call 972-2-9933462 or e-mail us at office@ytyh.org.
