Yachad

Yachad is an exciting educational initiative designed to encourage a new and unique spiritual leadership for Israel. The program, which began in October, 2002, is aimed at the training of a modern cadre of Israeli rabbis and educators who are able to effectively minister to non-Orthodox segments of society with understanding and respect. Students study the various different approaches to Judaism, and are taught by devotees of the various philosophies underlying Israeli society. Yachad graduates work within the framework of the Israeli Matnasim (JCC’s) toward creating pluralistic Israeli communities, bridging the religious-secular divide while encouraging the secular Israeli family to reclaim and cherish Judaism without coercion.
