“Learning to learn,” sophisticated analysis of texts and developing a mature religious personality in an open atmosphere remain our hallmarks. We pride ourselves on having an outstanding faculty of exceptional Torah scholars who are all gifted educators and comfortable in the secular world.
Our program also includes the study of Halachah, Chumash and its commentaries, classical and modern Jewish thought, Chassidut and Zionism. Alongside our program of Torah learning, regular Ulpan classes and Tiyulim across the country enable our students to develop their knowledge of Hebrew so that they can understand classical texts and feel at home in Israel. Torat Yosef-Yeshivat Hamivtar
was established by Rabbi Chaim Brovender over thirty
years ago to empower students to study Talmud in a methodical and systematic
way.
Our
student body is drawn from the finest college and graduate programs across
the world as well as young professionals who want to learn how to learn or
to join one of our more advanced shiurim which extend to the highest
levels of Talmud study.
